TITLE: Night Manager
REPORTS TO: Senior Family Service Manager
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
WORK HOURS: 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. Required to be awake and on the premises.
SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of the Night Manager is to manage the operations of the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas (RMHD) during the designated night hours. The Night Manager is knowledgeable of the mission, goals, and objectives of RMHD.

TITLE: Night Manager
REPORTS TO: Senior Family Service Manager

SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of the Night Manager is to manage the operations of the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas (RMHD) during the designated night hours. The Night Manager is knowledgeable of the mission, goals, and objectives of RMHD.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Operations Coordination:
- Ensures front desk is staffed or Manager is reachable at RMHD via remote telephone during all hours of shift.
- Ensures clear communication with families on all RMHD policies and procedures.
- Communicates accurate eligibility criteria to referral sources and families.
- Works with Security Guard (3rd party service), Family Services Manager, Family Services Assistant, Family Services Building Manager, and RMHD Kitchen staff to ensure an effective transition for coverage.
- Coordinates the preparation of breakfast, to include restocking and setting up breakfast bar area and coordinating any breakfast cooking groups.
- Communicate with the Senior Family Services Manager and Chief Operating Officer, if necessary, regarding family issues.
- Ensure all laundry items are processed through the laundry cycle. Laundry cycle includes picking up soiled items, washing, drying, folding and restocking of clean linens.
- Ensures nightly Hand-off notes are generated and sent to the appropriate staff.
- Facility Support:
- Ensures security of facility is maintained by making regularly scheduled inspections of the premises and monitoring security video system.
- Ensures adequate inventory of supplies, to include laundry supplies in commercial laundry room, and any consumable household supplies in each family area/wing of the house.
- Maintains front desk and lobby area.
- Monitors RMHD activity and maintains control of the facility usage by families.
- Maintains working knowledge of RMHD Emergency Preparedness, Disaster Recovery, and Crisis Communication plans.
- Ensures facility safety and security by checking all doors multiple times per shifts to make sure they are closed properly and locked.
- Responds appropriately to emergencies and incidents in accordance with RMHD policies.
- Family Services:
- Demonstrates an atmosphere of warmth, compassion, and support to always ensure a nurturing atmosphere.
- Creates an atmosphere of hospitality and ensures the well-being and comfort of families.
- Volunteer/Community Relations:
- Communicates with Community and Family Activities Coordinator about any unique situations with breakfast groups.
- Arranges community room(s) for any morning Board functions. Coordinates logistics with Office Manager, as needed.
- Maintains an awareness of Board functions and Board members in general.
- Other duties as directed by supervisor, administrator in-charge, or CEO.
